Three men charged with capital murder in connection with a deadly shooting in Dothan will be represented in court at tax-payers' expense.
17-year-old Michael Christopher James, 19-year-old Everett Morton and 19-year-old Marcus Rivers are accused of killing one man and wounding another.
The suspects made their first court appearance Friday afternoon.
The shooting happened near the intersection of 5th Avenue and Hamilton Street in central Dothan Wednesday night.
24-year-old Patrick Dixon was killed and 20-year-old Tyrance Byrd was wounded.
He's recovering in a local hospital.
James, Morton and Rivers will be represented by a court-appointed attorney.
They're being held without bond in the Houston County jail.
