Cultural Diversity

The city of Progress has earned distinction for maintaining cultural diversity.

Mayor Tim Alford presented the trophy to Saint Beulah Baptist Church's Kim Fleming and city administrative assistant Linda Bryan.

The National Black Caucus of local elected officials recognized Enterprise for its multi-cultural club. The club provides an opportunity for people of various ethnic backgrounds to learn more about each other's culture.

The city of Ozark won the second place award for cultural diversity.

Both Enterprise and Ozark competed in the category for cities with populations of 25,000 or less.
