Armed Robbery Caught on Tape

Dothan police are trying to solve a robbery that was caught on tape, and a reward is being offered in the case.

The Fortner Street convenience store on the corner of Park Avenue was robbed at gunpoint about 8:40 Tuesday night.

A man wearing a mask and a hooded sweatshirt came into store, pulled a handgun and demanded money from employees as well as a customer.

He got away on foot with some cash.

The suspect is described as an African American male, about five feet eight inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds.

Dothan police are also trying to identify a burglary suspect who was caught on tape.

Someone used a brick to smash a window and get inside Alabama Title Loans on the Montgomery Highway earlier this month.

A security camera recorded the suspect as he rummaged through desks.

He ended up stealing some audio equipment and some cash.

The suspect wore a Halloween mask, but investigators are hoping the video will help identify him.

Crime Stoppers is also offering a reward in any cases to help put the suspect behind bars. That number is 793-7000.
