Home Invasion

A Barbour County man that's charged in a series of home invasion robberies pled guilty to one of the crimes.

Twenty-three-year-old Chris Lindsey is already serving time in prison after pleading guilty to a similar crime in Barbour County.

On Monday, he admitted he was one of four men who forced their way into the home of a Henry County couple at gunpoint in December of 2001.

The victims, Jack Murphy and his wife Ann, told investigators the suspects repeatedly threatened to kill them before stealing a safe and leaving them bound and gagged.

Lindsey is scheduled to be sentenced April 25.

Another suspect in the case pled guilty as a youthful offender and received a reduced sentence. Two others were convicted and both were sentenced to nearly 200 years in jail.
