Dothan police are searching for suspects in connection with two weekend armed robberies. Both happened on Saturday and police are asking for area residents’ assistance.
Tammy Walden is a clerk at the Oates Street Citgo. She was the only employee on duty that night when three men entered the store and demanded money with a handgun.
"It comes unexpected. I didn't even see them or know which way they went afterward or anything," said Walden.
The suspects were all African American males, in their early 20's, and were each wearing bandannas. All three look similar to the two suspects who robbed the Reeves Street Citgo earlier in the day.
"We cannot dismiss the possibility that they could be related. We take each individual case and work it on its own and as the information takes us to where they are connected, and then certainly we'll follow up on it that way," said Chief John Powell.
Suspects left both stores with hundreds of dollars in cash.
Fortunately no injuries were reported. However, there are no solid leads and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
This weekend's incident is the latest of a few recent robberies at the Reeves Street Citgo station. Employees say they are installing a more accurate security system in the coming week.
Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 793-7000 or Dothan police department investigators at 615-3000.
