Midland City Accident

Investigate

A deadly two-vehicle accident that happened Friday in Dale County is still under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.

The accident happened about 6:15 p.m. Friday at the intersection of State Highway 134 and Dale County Road 87. Troopers said a pickup truck and a car collided head-on.

The two people in the car were killed. They're identified as Brenda Johnson and Brian Wilkerson, both of Midland City.

The driver of the pickup, 16-year-old Nathan Lee Thompson, also of Midland City was taken to a Dothan hospital. At last report, he was listed in stable condition. Troopers said excessive speed might have been a contributing factor in the wreck.

They hope to wrap up the investigation in the next few days.
