The Alabama Senate passed the draft beer bill Thursday afternoon.
The matter passed through the House three weeks ago, and after much controversy over the issue, draft beer could soon be available in Houston County.
The item will be on the county commission's agenda on Monday.
"We're glad the bill has passed the Senate, we thank our legislative delegation for their hard work they had some problems in the Senate but we got it done glad they got that done, on Monday we'll vote to put it on the Primary in June, so the citizens of the county can make their determination" said Chairman Mark Culver, Houston Co. Commission
The bill now goes to Gov. Bob Riley for signature.
