Providence Christian School in Dothan held a groundbreaking for a new building for their growing student population.
In the groundbreaking ceremony held this afternoon, school officials unveiled a new grammar building.
The 20 room building will sit on the current Murphy Mill Road property and have both logic and rhetoric, and grammar school libraries.
Providence Christian School has 585 students K-12, but the growing population caused school officials to think about adding more than just a few trailers.
“The school's been growing we've been here 11 years, and the need for the space probably is the first place where the idea came from and we need the classroom space,” said Emory Latta.
The project is expected to take a year and should be completed by next summer.
