Houston County commission chairman, Mark Culver, announced his plans to run for re-election.
Chairman culver was first elected to serve on the Houston County commission back in 1986, and was then appointed chairman in 1997. Since then he has been re-elected twice.
Culver said that right now the county is in sound financial condition and that he plans on keeping it that way, as he proceeds to implement other plans for the future.
Culver also said that he plans to continue providing superior services to the citizens of Houston County, while growing the county's tax base.
