Six People Arrested in Major Drug Bust in Coffee County

An overnight drug raid in the Wiregrass has heightened concerns that possibly a more potent, deadlier form of crystal-meth may be coming from south of the border.

Six-suspects were arrested, thousands of dollars in cash and a large quantity of the drug nicknamed "ice".

Coffee and Dale County drug investigators raided a mobile home at the Martin Court Trailer Park, located just outside Enterprise city-limits.

Authorities reportedly found the crystal-meth along with the suspects.

The trailer belonging to Humberto Perez-Lopez has been under surveillance for several months.

The high quality narcotic makes authorities believe it's coming in from Mexico.

Coffee Co. Chief Deputy, Ronnie Whitworth said, "This is not the type of drug from your home meth lab. This is a lot more refined, and in a much larger quantity. They had four-ounces and ready for this delivery"

Several Hispanic suspects are behind bars at the Coffee County Jail and face felony drug trafficking and possession charges.
