A suspect in the death of a baby has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Edgar Parrish pled guilty to manslaughter in connection with the death of his nephew in December of 2004.
An autopsy revealed four-month-old Cody Parrish had a fractured skull, broken ribs, and two broken wrists.
The infant's mother, Tierra Gobble, was convicted of capital murder and sentenced to die for her part in the crime.
Parrish was arrested for giving Gobble access to the child in violation of a protection order.
The child's father is also charged with manslaughter in the case. Samuel Hunter is still waiting to stand trial and remains in the Houston County Jail.
