Recent research indicates there is a relationship between obesity and the likelihood of developing dementia or Alzheimer’s.

Dr. Richard Powers says there are medications that will be released in the next two to three years that should slow the progression of Alzheimer’s.

But he adds there are steps people can take now to reduce their risks.

Powers says 30 minutes of daily exercise drastically reduces a person's chances of developing dementia or Alzheimer’s.
