Wiregrass Special Olympics

The Dothan Police Department's favorite charity is now a little richer, thanks to a local business and of motorcycle riders.

Harley-Davidson of Dothan owner Dutch Holland presented Police Chief John White with a check for $3,000 on Tuesday. The money was raised during last month's "Sweetheart Ride" around Ross Clark Circle. More than 200 riders participated.

The money will help send special Olympians from Dothan to the state games at Auburn University in May.

And two special athletes from Dothan, Zachary Grice and Brandy Deese, will represent Alabama in the world games in Ireland this summer.
