An award-winning area program has caught the attention of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Thursday in Enterprise, the Alabama director of USDA rural development, Steve Pelham, along with Congressman Terry Everett, made a special presentation.
Enterprise Mayor Kenneth Boswell received a nearly $278,000 check earmarked for the Wiregrass Rehabilitation Center.
The center is located at the Enterprise Business Incubator.
Since opening three years ago, more than 300 area residents with physical and mental disabilities have been trained there for employment.
