Education Forum

Dozens of concerned citizens met Monday night to talk about ways to improve the Houston County School system.

A new committee was recently formed after the school tax increase was voted down last month. That committee came up with issues that needed improvement and volunteers were appointed to head the subcommittees.

These subcommittees will study funding, consolidation, expense reduction, legislative oversight and quality of education.

If you missed Monday’s meeting and you'd like to help the committee, or if you have questions and want more information, call 794-4331.
