787th Corps Support Battalion Deployment

The Wiregrass said goodbye to another group of men and women who are being deployed in support of "Operation Enduring Freedom."

Family members and friends of troops in the 787th Corps Support Battalion came out to show their support on Sunday.

Just last Thursday, the unit was called to active duty as part of the partial mobilization authorized by President Bush.

Many at the ceremony said the event was needed because it brought a sense of togetherness for the families.

Army officials said they understand the sacrifice families are making and encourage them to stick with family support groups.
