T-38 Plane Crash

Two homes are now unsuitable for living after a T-38 military trainer jet crashed into a residential area.

Two families were displaced by the crash and are living temporarily in a hotel.

Long-term arrangements with the United States Air Force are being worked out.

No one inside either home was injured in the Saturday afternoon crash.

The plane's pilot, Major Rich Beavers, ejected from the jet before it crashed and suffered only minor injuries.

The plane was making its final approach toward a runway at Eglin Air Force Base when it apparently experienced engine trouble and crashed.

No word has been released about what caused the engine trouble.
