Coppinville Junior High School Career Day

It is never too early for young people to think about a career path.

More than 450 Coppinville Junior High Students heard from people representing a host of professions.

Coppinville school counselor Bettina Jessie says career day is about young people being exposed to career opportunities. The work force is constantly evolving.

At Coppinville's annual career day, the seventh-graders heard from veterinarians, military recruiters and financial consultants.

"I mean we feel the earlier we can get them thinking about a career... the better they will be in the future. They will be well prepared for the future" said Jessie.

Jessie says a college education is not always a key to success; many young people are earning a good living after graduating from vocation schools.
