Friday Marks A Tragic Anniversary In Jackson County

A year after a mother and her three young sons were found brutally murdered inside their Marianna apartment, the case remains unsolved.

Danielle Baker and her three young sons were found dead inside their Cottondale Village apartment in Marianna. The children using duct tape and Baker died from a gunshot.

Marianna police chief Lou Roberts has been in law enforcement for more than 25 years but says what he saw on March 17 2005 is burned forever on his mind.

Roberts said it is one of the most grizzly crime scenes they have ever seen.

Nickie Wilkenson lives down the street from where the quadruple slayings took place. She says still lives in a state of fear.

"It happened down the road. We still talk about it. I have a young child; every time I hear something unusual, I’m scared" said Wilkenson.

Baker's one-time boyfriend, Wesley Williams, is being called a person of interest. He is currently being held on an unrelated charge of assault:

Jackson County officials are asking anyone with information to contact with CrimeStopper 850-526-5000.

At six o'clock this Friday night, candlelight vigil will be held outside Baker's Cottondale Village apartment in Marianna.
