Two men suspected of trafficking in cocaine have been arrested in Okaloosa County.
The arrest follows a joint investigation between the Okaloosa County Drug Task Force, Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, Bay County Sheriff’s Office, Niceville Police Department, and Drug Enforcement Agency.
Twenty-nine-year-old Ricardo Becerra of Mary Esther, and 20-year-old Hugo Hernandez are charged with trafficking in over 400 grams of cocaine and conspiracy to traffic in cocaine.
The Escambia Sheriff’s Office recently started the probe into an organization believed to be transporting large amounts of cocaine into the local area.
Both Becerra and Hernandez were taken into custody after the transaction went down March 9 in Mary Esther.
