Professional basketball star Chris Porter of Abbeville pled guilty to a drug charge Monday in Dothan.
Police pulled Porter over in August of 2001 and found marijuana and cocaine in his car.
Porter pled guilty to a misdemeanor marijuana possession charge and was fined $1,000.
He applied for deferred prosecution for possession of cocaine and if he successfully completes drug testing and rehabilitation, that charge will be dismissed.
Porter most recently played pro-ball in Europe, but he's looking forward to getting back in the NBA.
Porter was an all American player at Auburn and spent one season with the Golden State Warriors.
