It is day two of jury selection today in the capital murder trial of a Houston County man accused of killing his wife.
Forty-nine year old Michael Sale was originally charged with domestic violence after his wife was taken to a hospital in critical condition nearly two years ago.
Telephone records show Sale called for an ambulance, but by then 48 year old Lynn Sale was so weak; she had to be placed on life-support. She died two weeks later.
Investigators testified yesterday during a pre-trial hearing that Sale admitted striking his wife before she died. They also testified that Sale had been convicted of assaulting the woman several years earlier and violated a court order to stay away from her.
