Press Secretary Ari Fleischer said any U.S. led attack will achieve its goals "no matter which route it takes." Fleischer said there is "a plan B."
Fleischer spoke in the wake of the surprise vote Saturday in Turkey's Parliament that failed to approve plans for U.S. troops to stage on Turkish soil.
Turkish stock prices have been plummeting Monday -- for fear the vote could cost the Turks a $15 billion aid package and Turkey's currency has also fallen.
