Florida's New Lieutenant Governor

Gov. Jeb Bush announced Toni Jennings is now the first female Lieutenant Governor in the state of Florida.

Jennings served in the Senate from 1980 to 2000 the last four years as its president. She was known for working closely with late Democratic Governor Lawton Chiles. She's also an expert on medical malpractice insurance reform and on worker's compensation.

The 2003 Legislature beings its regular session Tuesday. Outgoing Lieutenant Governor Frank Brogan began his term as President of Florida Atlantic University.
