Troy police have arrested two men in connection with several burglaries and thefts committed in Troy since the first of the year.

Twenty-four-year-old Dewayne Terrell Pruitt of Troy and 25-year-old Cordero Darrell Ousley of Brundidge were arrested Friday morning after one of the men tried to break into a home on Owl Drive in Troy.

The suspect fled the residence and ran toward Southland Mobile Home Park.

Police later stopped a man in the park that matched the suspect’s description. He was identified as Pruitt. Police arrested Pruitt and charged him with burglary second degree.

Ousley was later arrested for receiving stolen property.

They are being held in the Pike County Jail.

Troy police later recovered stolen property that could have been taken from about 10 burglaries.
