Sergeant Robert Jackson was shot and killed in the line of duty on January 31, 1978. Jackson was a six year veteran of the Dothan police department working as a narcotics investigator. At the memorial service this afternoon, a grave marker was unveiled honoring the life of Sergeant Jackson.
Jackson's metal of honor and an American flag was presented to his family. There is a ten thousand dollar reward for any information leading to an arrest in this case.
