Slocomb Shooting

Andrew Bernard Turner is charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle.

Authorities said the 24-year-old fired a handgun into a car driven by his sister-in-law's estranged boyfriend. The victim, 19-year-old Marcus Hilliard was not injured.

The shooting happened at a home near Highway 103, just across the street from an apartment complex.

Slocomb Police Officer Kip Snell said it's fortunate that no one was struck. He said Turner fired several rounds near passing traffic.

Turner's bond was set at $2,500. Discharging a firearm into a vehicle is a Class C felony. If convicted, Turner could serve up to 10 years in prison.
