Law enforcement officers in Coffee County said they've arrested a man sought in the Feb. 13 kidnapping and rape of a Dale County woman.
Sheriff's officials said 26-year-old Ricky Carlisle was taken into custody around 5 a.m. Tuesday; additional information about the arrest was not immediately available.
Authorities said the victim was abducted from her home and driven to Crenshaw County, where she was sexually assaulted, beaten and shot.
Investigators allege Carlisle drove the victim to Coffee County and released her, where she was got some help. Her condition was not disclosed.
