New Brockton police have confirmed they'll be heading this week to pick up Robert Steven Marshall from a Slidell, Louisiana prison.
The 41-year-old fugitive had been arrested by U.S. Marshals outside of New Orleans on a routine traffic stop. He's been on the run for nearly a year after allegedly raping a 12-year-old New Brockton girl.
He faces similar child rape charges in Gainesville, Florida.
Wednesday afternoon, Marshall waived extradition in order to be brought back to Coffee County.
Authorities are expected to ask the judge that he be held without bond because they believe he's a flight risk.
