An man accused of killing his Panama City landlord faces a sentence of life in prison.
Aaron Garner has pleaded no contest to the first-degree murder of Rebecca Shepherd, who was found dead in her home in July.
Investigators say Garner told them he beat Shepherd to death with a piece of wood and a rock because he felt she was charging him too much for rent.
His sentencing is scheduled for March sixth.
Garner had told the judge he is on four medications for mental disorders. Three psychologists found him mentally competent to stand trial.
