According to AAA, gas prices have increased by 20 cents over the past month.
A group of low-income residents in South Los Angeles, California, took to the streets Sunday to protest the high gas prices.
The demonstrators say they are concerned that oil companies are taking advantage of pre-war jitters.
The protesters are a part of a group known as Citizens Against Terrorism.
