Murder charges have been filed in connection with the traffic deaths of two Houston County teenagers.
Nineteen year old Wellborn Pate Johnson was accompanied by his attorney when he turned himself in at the Houston County Jail yesterday morning.
Artia Marie Scoggin and Kimberly Dawn Rabon, both 14 and from Webb, died in a head-on collision on Bill Yance Road near Columbia Friday night.
The driver of their car was injured.
Johnson was driving the other vehicle.
District Attorney Doug Valeska authorized the murder warrants after lab results confirmed the wreck was alcohol-related.
Johnson is being held without bond in the Houston County Jail.
A hearing will be held next week.
