Dothan Preacher Runs for Birmingham Mayor

A Dothan preacher has announced his political ambitions.

Thirty-eight-year-old Rev. Paul Hollman is campaigning to be the next mayor of Birmingham.

Hollman said if he's elected, he'll empower neighborhood leaders to make Birmingham a better place. Hollman was born and raised in Birmingham.

He left his marketing position at Xerox in 1994 and was hired by former Birmingham mayor Richard Arrington to lead the city's Division of Youth Services. During that time, Hollman was pastor of Mount Moriah Baptist Church in the Woodlawn area of Birmingham.

Currently, Hollman is the pastor of Greater Beulah Missionary Baptist Church in Dothan.
