The Dothan Fire Department has announced the temporary closing of Fire Station Number Eight due to hazardous material mold remediation and renovation.
The station is located on west Main Street near the highlands. Crews will be relocated, in multiple units, to other city fire stations. It's estimated Fire Station Eight will be closed three to four weeks. Plans have been made to cover the station's territory.
Once the remediation and renovations are completed, the station will reopen, and work will begin on Station Number Six, located on Napier Field Road.
