In Fort Lauderdale, two teenagers suspected of beating three homeless men last week are in police custody at this hour.
Eighteen year old Brian Hooks and 17-year-old Thomas Daugherty turned themselves in to police after a family attorney negotiated their surrender.
Both will face murder charges in the death of one homeless man and aggravated battery in the beating of another.
The attacks happened early Thursday morning and are said to be "out of the ordinary."
Captain Michael Gregory of the Fort Lauderdale Police Department says, "I’ve been to both of their homes and there was nothing that would of immediately alarmed you or stand out that there was some sort of suspicious behavior going on or something suspicious about them."
Police are investigating whether the two teens may have been involved in other beatings and if they had accomplices.
