A Dothan woman is fighting for her life, and her friends are joining in the battle.

Forty-two-year-old Cathy Dutton has been diagnosed with a type of ovarian cancer. She's been through surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. But now, she needs a stem cell, or bone marrow transplant to survive.

The problem is, Cathy's family and friends have been tested, but their tissue isn't a match. Now, they are having a blood testing drive on Feb. 15. The event is being held at Fitness for Ladies at 1350 Hartford Highway, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. The test involves a simple finger prick, and there is a cost involved.

For more information, call 692-5610 or 712-9209.
