Car Jacking Suspects Arrested

Three men have been arrested for an alleged car jacking that happened in late January.

Houston County Sheriff Lamar Glover said a woman reported her car stolen on Jan.25. She said while she was stopped at a location in the Bay Springs area, two men got into her car. One was allegedly armed with a handgun. The woman said the men locked her in the trunk throughout the night. The next morning, the victim was let out of the trunk in downtown Dothan and the men drove off with her car.

The three men found with the car are identified as 32-year-old Mark E. Ward, 33-year-old Paul Sylvester Jones and 19-year-old Richard Thomas, all of Webb, Alabama. They are charged with receiving stolen property. Bond for each was set at $2,000.

An investigation into the alleged kidnapping continues, and there may be additional charges.
