Police are looking for suspects involved in the Christmas Eve shooting in Dothan. Officials don't have a suspect in custody and the neighbors who live in the area are scared.
Lucy Adair was sitting on her couch when Zachery Severson was shot outside her house. She heard a series of shots and thought they were fireworks.
The police blocked off the area for several hours to find out who did the shooting, but police still don't have a suspect in custody.
Dothan Police are currently running down leads in the case and have been doing so since the holiday weekend.
Adair says that in the past five years nothing like this has happened near her home and it worries her, “I’m nervous and scared and shook up and I’m nervous to live here now”.
Living here now might mean locking her doors to keep her safe.
Crime Stoppers are offering a one thousand dollar reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a suspect. If you have any information on the shooting, you are asked to call 615-3000.
