Robbery Suspect Arrested

A drug-store robbery suspect crashed his car after a high-speed chase with Wiregrass area police.

Around 4 p.m. Thursday, a man walked into Johnson's Pharmacy in downtown Bonifay, Florida and put a knife to the clerk's throat. He forced her to the back of the building, and then took a large amount of oxycontin pills. Oxycontin is a highly addictive painkiller.

A short time later, police chased the suspect, until his car ran off the road near the intersection of Highways 79 and 2 in Esto. Although the suspect's name has not been released, he is reportedly from Enterprise, Alabama. The suspect was booked into the Holmes County Florida jail.
