The attorneys representing an Enterprise daycare owner have entered a "not" guilty plea for their client.
The plea came during an arraignment hearing for Julie Watkins on first-degree assault charges.
The charges stem from an investigation into an incident at Sweet Tarts Daycare in Enterprise involving a five-month-old boy.
Jacob Garrett of Brundidge reportedly sustained shaken baby syndrome while in Watkins care.
The defendant waived her right to be in court for her arraignment hearing.
A trial date is expected to be set in the case early next year.
