Alabama National Guard Return Home

Several Alabama National Guard soldiers are back home, just in time for Christmas.

Thirty soldiers from the 1670th Guard units based in Troy and Brantley returned after spending a year transporting supplies and equipment in and around Iraq.

The troops have spent the last few days in Fort McCoy, Wisconsin.

Instead of returning as a group, the soldiers returned on separate commercial flights.

A welcome home ceremony will be held in Troy and Brantley sometime after the New Year.
