A runaway dog may have ended a two-and-a-half-year-old mystery.
Police and F-B-I officials say a dog that bolted from its owner during a walk yesterday found two shallow graves with human remains wrapped in plastic along Interstate 80 in Ohio.
Officials think the find may end a long search for two New Hampshire children -- 14-year-old Sarah Gehring and her eleven-year-old brother, Philip. The two were killed by their father as he fled across the country in July 2003. Manuel Gehring confessed to the slayings but killed himself in prison before he could be tried.
Gehring told police he buried the children somewhere along a stretch of interstate, but he couldn't pinpoint the spot.
