2013 was a mixed bag for farmers in Alabama.
According to statistics from the Alabama Farmers Federation, the state's corn production has increased by 51 percent.
Farmers harvested an average of 148-bushels an acre.
Soybean production went up by 21 percent, but things weren't so good for cotton and peanuts.
Cotton yields were down 26-percent, while peanut yields declined 44 percent.
2012 was a record year for peanuts.
