Knight Gets 17 Years in Prison for Nightclub Shooting
A man convicted for manslaughter learned his fate Monday. Solomon Knight was sentenced to 17 years in prison for the killing of Rodricky Williams.

A man convicted for manslaughter learned his fate Monday.
Solomon Knight was sentenced to 17 years in prison for the killing of Rodricky Williams.
The 21-year-old victim was shot to death outside the Southern Nights Lounge in Dothan in July of 2006.
However according to Knight's attorney, Shaun McGhee, this is not the end of the road.
“Mr. Knight is going to appeal his case and we will be filing some post trial motions. We're certainly disappointed. He was looking at a 10-20 year range and he got 17 years, so we will be seeking the appeal process at this time,” said McGhee.
Knight was originally charged with murder, but jurors found him guilty of a lesser charge of manslaughter in May.
