MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - A federal grand jury has returned a two count indictment against a south Alabama man for receiving and possessing child pornography.
Federal prosecutors in Montgomery announced the indictment Monday against 41-year-old Mark Frederick Harigan of Florala.
U.S. Attorney Alice Martin alleges that Harigan possessed and obtained the illicit material from March 2006 through April 2007.
Harigan pleaded not guilty in his initial appearance before a U.S. Magistrate Judge. Its not immediately known if he had a lawyer.
Harigan is scheduled to go to trial September 22 in U.S District Court in Montgomery.
The case was investigated by the FBI and agents with Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
