The new Houston-Love Memorial Library is again gaining steam as a big project that could be coming to Dothan.
Dothan city and Houston County commissioners met with architects and library board members to hear the new proposal Monday.
The new building would be 65-thousand square feet. That's nearly twice the size of the current downtown library.
It would feature an outdoor plaza, covered parking and indoor spaces for every age group.
The project would cost more than 16-million dollars.
12-million would be asked of Dothan, 2 million from Houston County and 2 million would be raised privately.
