2 Ozark Teenagers Arrested for Firearms Theft

OZARK, AL - On July 4, 2014, Ozark Police Criminal Investigators were summoned to a local firearms business regarding a burglary and the theft of firearms. Investigators processed the crime scene which revealed the theft of nineteen (19) firearms and ammunition. As the investigation continued, investigators contacted Agents with the Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and requested their assistance in the case.

On July 30, 2014, Investigators working in conjunction with the Dale County Sheriff's Office and ATF received information concerning the case which proved to be beneficial.

Investigators have arrested Jacobs Briar Shiver, age 18, and Deondre Jermaine Howard, age 18, both of Ozark in relation to the case. Both suspects are charged with Burglary 1st Degree, Theft of Property 2nd Degree and Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree. Both were booked into the Dale County Jail without bond.

Ozark Criminal Investigators are currently continuing the investigation and are being assisted by the Dale County Sheriff's Department and Agents from the Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
