2 Charged in Dothan City Jail Fire

DOTHAN, AL - On October 17, 2012 the Dothan Police Department conducted an investigation into a fire that was started in a cell at the Dothan City Jail. Investigators have now charged two inmates with arson after it was determined the inmates burned paper and Styrofoam in an effort to start the fire which was quickly extinguished by alert jailers. Both inmates were serving time at the jail for misdemeanor charges at the time of the incident.

•Carlneilus Sandifer, black male, 22 years of age, was arrested and charged with Second Degree Arson with a $30,000 bond.

•Antonio McKinley, black male, 25 years of age, was arrested and charged with Second Degree Arson with a $30,000 bond.
