2 Arrested in Troy Car Theft Case

TROY, AL - On Tuesday July 16 the Troy Police Department arrested 23 year old Quintez Xavier Reed and 39 year old Terry McCray Reed, both men are residents of Pike County and have been charged with Theft of Property 1St degree, according to information released by Chief Jimmy Ennis.

The two males were arrested in connection with the July 15 theft of a vehicle from the parking lot of a local business. After a subsequent investigation by Troy Police Department Detectives, felony warrants for the arrest of both men were obtained. Terry Reed was taken into custody at the Troy Police Department and Quintez Reed was taken into custody while hiding in a residence located off of US 231 South. Troy Police Department Detectives were able to recover the stolen vehicle the same day that the two arrest were made. The two men were processed and transported to the Pike County Jail under $5,000 bond for each man.

This case is still under investigation by the Troy Police Department.
