A month long investigation into multiple home burglaries is now closed.
On June 25, six people were arrested by Dothan Police. The individuals face a total of 69 charges.
Investigators say that between the dates of May 22 and June 19, Jude Dor, 21, of West Inez Road, Zhean Lively, 18, of Midland City and four juveniles committed multiple acts of burglary and unlawfully entering motor vehicles in the Chapelwood, Grove Park, Westbrook and Highlands subdivisions, as well as the areas of Fortner Street, Trawick and Prevatt Roads.
Dor was charged with three counts of third degree burglary and give counts of unlawful breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. His bond has been set at $70,000 for all eight charges.
Lively faces four counts of third degree burglary and 25 counts of unlawful breaking and entering a motor vehicle. His bond has been set at $175,000 for all charges.
The names of the juveniles are being withheld, however, a 15 and 16-year-old are from Dothan. A 16-year-old from Newton and a 17-year-old from Rehobeth were also charged with multiple counts of unlawful breaking and entering a motor vehicle. The Newton teen and the 15-year-old from Dothan also face burglary charges.
A “Crime Stoppers” tip and information received from one of the victims was essential in helping to bring together each incident and identifying the individuals involved. Additional suspects have been identified and more arrests are expected.
